Collection Glam Crystals Dazzling Gel Liners

Over the festive period I loved a glitter eye. Doesn't everyone? It's such a beautiful look when you want to feel extra glam! Especially adding colours! The only downside to glitter - the mess. The mess really puts me off doing it and to be honest theres no way to avoid it. You can do your eyes first but there is always that last bit of glitter that doesn't want to remove itself from your face! So I was on the hunt for something I could use instead of loose glitter powder. I searched trusty YouTube and came across this video from Pixiwoo and I had to have the glitter product she used! I was amazed to hear that it was by Collection! The liner is called Collection Glam Crystals Dazzling Gel Liners.

The next day I took a trip to my local boots and headed to the Collection stand and was surprised at the colour selection that was available. There was 6 all together but looking on their website they actually have 14 colours available and I picked out 4 which I think I would use the most. The best part? They were £2.99!!!!! If I hadn't of watched the Pixiwoo video I would never of looked twice at this product. In my experience glitter liners are usually pretty naff and don't distribute the product evenly. This has such fine chunks of glitter in but really does manage to pack the glitter on the lid. I found the best way to use this is too add a crease colour so you don't have any harsh glitter edges and then apply a layer of the glitter all over the lid. It is then best to wait for the glitter to dry then add another layer and keep repeating the process until your happy with the coverage! This product gives no fall out at all so is amazing for people that hate mess!

Currently in Boots, the Collection stand are giving a free mascara when you spend over £5 on Collection make-up so be sure to grab that if you go! I haven't tried the mascara yet but if it rocks my world I'm sure you will be hearing about it in a favourites post.

I'm so excited to rock this look. I think the black will be my most used as I do love me a smokey eye!

Face Lace

As you may or may not know I am currently in college training towards my make-up artistry qualification. I actually finish my course in July 2014 and I can't wait. Without sounding up my own arse I am very confident with make-up and have been self-taught for a number of years but I wanted to go to college to gain my qualification which hopefully will help me get my foot in the door with companies such as Illamasqua (who are my dream to work for.)

As part of my qualification I have to do numerous assessments to pass the course and my most recent was a Face Lace assessment. I had never tried Face Lace before but was quite excited to try it! Our awesome tutor actually got us all one each to use which was so kind of her as they are super expensive. We were given the design a week before our actual assessment so we could plan our look. I would describe my Face Lace as a peacock style. I have included a picture of the actual design off the Face Lace website as being the bad blogger I am forgot to take a picture before.

We had to provide our own model so I asked my beautiful friend Jodi-Lei to be mine. She is mixed race and has the most perfect skin. I really thought the black Face Lace would contrast well with her skin tone. I decided to keep the eye make-up simple as there was so much going on with the eyes and just do a simple winged liner. To make it stand out that bit more I decided to add a bold lip. I used MAC Rebel which I love!

The application of the Face Lace was quite tricky. Peeling it off the plastic backing was an absolute nightmare. Obviously it is very sticky so it sticks to your face but when your peeling it off it sticks to every bit of your fingers, when you try peel it off your fingers it sticks to another part. It is so fiddly as I was trying so hard not to rip the delicate piece but let me tell you for all that trouble the end result is defiantly worth it! Face Lace also provide you with a bottom lash sticker which completes the look perfectly.

We then got to have our finished pieces photographed in the photo studio and I am currently waiting on the final edited pictures which I am hoping to have in my portfolio! I have included some pictures I took on my phone and I'm sure you will agree this is a beautiful look and would be amazing for a masquerade ball or if your feeling extra dramatic! I really can't wait to stock up on some more designs for my kit and use them in future looks.

MAC PRO EYESHADOW PALETTE 15

My first blog post EVER and I thought what better way to break me in than doing a MAC palette show and tell!

My first eyeshadow I bought was around 6 months ago, I've never really been an eyeshadow girl but after watching too many YouTube videos and seeing looks I really wanted to recreate I took the plunge, Carbon being my first purchase which is a Matte black. After playing around with basic looks (there's only so much you can do with one eyeshadow) I decided to look into what would be my next purchase. Which is where Ricepaper came into my life. Ricepaper is a creamy/pale gold colour with a hint of shimmer which looks GORGEOUS as a base and Carbon through the outer V. These two eyeshadows are still my most loved to this day. 

When I first started purchasing MAC eyeshadows I didn't have the Pro Palette I bought them in the standard packaging with the black plastic, when I decided to purchase the palette I still only had the 2 eyeshadows I mentioned so purchased a few of the Pro Palette pan's (not all 15, MAC eyeshadows are quite pricey!!) and planned to build up my collection slowly. Little did I know it would be full within 6 months! I heard you can de-pot MAC eyeshadows to put into the palette's so I had a search on YouTube and found out how to do this so if you have single MAC shadow's I would highly recommend getting a palette and doing this it makes life so much easier having them all at easy reach! Plus you can use the containers for Back to Mac for you free lipstick!

I can't quite remember the order I got my eyeshadows in, only that Ricepaper and Carbon were my first's! 

So before I list all the shadow's I will give you a bit of information of the palette itself.

Design:
Apparently this is the new design and the last one didn't have a see through lid but I can't comment on that as I didn't have it, although I love the see through design! Hopefully when I expand my collection more and get my next palette it will be so much easier to see which one is what at a glance rather than having to open them. Although the lid does get pretty dirty from the colour fall out and mine does have a few scratches from travelling! I did say it was well loved :)

This is just all the shadows I have, I soon hope to have a palette for neutrals/everyday and then more brighter colours!

MAC RiRi Woo Swatches & Review

 I am ashamed to admit I got sucked into the bandwagon of the Rihanna MAC collection which started off with RiRi's signature lipstick with her name engraved on the bullet. Other than that the packaging is the standard MAC packaging.

I believe it has been based around the Ruby Woo lipstick from MAC which I haven't tried but have heard on the grapevine it is very similar. I do own Russian Red which is the same 'Matte' formula and I do love! Russian Red is a darker shade of red but not a whole lot different compared to RiRi Woo.

There was only a limited number going on sale on Friday 3rd May so I made sure I was ready and waiting on the site at the 11am launch (sad I know) and apparently they sold out in 3 hours which is epic! Don't worry if you missed out though, they are bringing more back in June! 

The formula is very drying as with the majority of Matte lipsticks so make sure you prep well beforehand but as with most MAC lipsticks they staying power is amazing.

I do honestly believe this would be a good shade on everyone it is a classic glamour red (think Marilyn Monroe.)  And the blue undertones are perfect for making them teeth look pearly white!

I am actually looking forward to seeing what Rihanna's next items in the collection will be!

Everyday Make-up Video!

Hi everyone!

I decided to film a video on my Everyday Make-Up as I thought it would be better than just taking photos!

It was my first ever video and my editing skills aren't great but I hope you enjoy it regardless, it can only get better, right?

TOO FACED GALAXY GLAM - FIRST IMPRESSIONS

Saturday afternoon my Mum decided she wanted to go to our local TK Maxx (TJ Maxx if your in America) to have a mooch. I've never really been a big fan of that store, it's too much of a jumble sale there for me, I like things to be organised to find what I want easily! To be honest the shop just gives me a headache! Being the good daughter I am I went anyway.

I always hear of people picking up really good bargains so decided to just jump straight in and get into the shopping spirit! 

I headed straight to the beauty section and nothing really caught my eye, I was about to give up when I spotted this beauty! A Too Faced product in TK Maxx? Now I love me some Too Faced products! The only colour I could see was this gem 'Deep Space' which in the packaging looks like a metallic blue with hints of black and white going through it! I would say a copy cat for a MAC mineralise eyeshadow! The best part? The price £3.99 as opposed to the original price of £16.50! Straight to the tills I headed.

I've included some swatches below and I'm sure you will agree what an amazing colour this is! I would say it's more of a navy blue/black than the metallic blue it looks in the packaging although when it catches the light the shimmer is brilliant! I can't wait to use it properly.
